My name is Filip, native of Stockholm. I have a passion for helping people learn the Swedish language and culture. 🇸🇪

🏅I started my teaching career more than a decade ago, from substitute teaching all the way up to teaching in a Private High School in Stockholm, where I was responsible for teaching and grading 100 students.

Since then I have shifted to helping private learners with Swedish (and Mandarin), both in person and online.

🧑🏻‍🏫 HOW I TEACH:

— The first time we meet we’ll set goals that YOU want to achieve

— You can be a total beginner, intermediate, or advanced

— We will then make a plan together based on YOUR GOALS

🦜We can use any material, I will customize this to suit you:

— Easy texts

— Texts that you and I write together

— Textbooks

— Voice recordings (You and I make the recordings)

— Apps

🙌🏽 Together we will practice:

— Pronunciation

— Conversation / Listening / Slang & Natural Speech

— Reading / Writing / Spelling

— I usually don’t teach grammar since I use the Comprehensible Input method, where grammar is learned by using and understanding real language in context

(If you want me to explain grammar I will of course do that too)

📝 — Homework is optional, some learners prefer it, some don’t. We will find the best way for you

The lessons are a cooperation between you and me. Usually, there is much communication (not just me talking) and a lot of humor. This creates a feeling that it’s FUN and EASY to learn Swedish.

I have experience of being a language teacher and language coach, as well as being a lifelong language learner myself.

I speak

This means that I have a deep practical knowledge of how to help my students acquire their new language in an easy and fun way.

My goal is to be the bridge between cultures, to further mutual understanding and communication. I have visited over 40 countries and permanently lived in 7.

I love living my new language and culture, and I want to help you have the same experience.
