Hello! I'm Hyunkyung, a native Korean who was born and raised in Korea, and I'm currently living in Canada for a new adventure.

Learning a new language isn't easy, but there's definitely a special joy in the process! I've spent a long time working in Korea, and now I'm embracing new challenges in a foreign environment while experiencing a different culture every day. Because of this, I understand better than anyone how tough and overwhelming it can be to learn a foreign language. (But just think about the joy when you break through that wall!)

As someone who practices English daily and is also learning Spanish, I really get how it feels for those of you who are just starting out with Korean or are studying consistently. I want to help you grow at your own pace, feeling a sense of achievement in a friendly and warm atmosphere, just like a friend would.

I may not have a professional teaching certificate, but as a native speaker, I want to focus on teaching you natural expressions and commonly used sentences. I prepare lessons based on your goals and interests, and here's how I usually conduct my classes:

• Lessons centered around real-life situations like daily conversations or travel dialogues

• Exploring expressions from dramas or movies together (we'll learn how they're used in real life too!)

• Practicing speaking naturally while understanding context and nuance

If you let me know the topics or goals you want to learn about, I can create customized lessons with appropriate materials.

The reasons for learning Korean may vary from person to person, but I believe the common thread is the desire to "speak confidently." How about we chat without pressure and naturally build your skills together? I think practicing and communicating are more important than just "studying" when it comes to language. If we enjoy learning through conversation, by the time our journey ends, we'll be chatting fluently in Korean!
