Test your comprehension skills when you watch great films like "Oldeuboi" or "Parasite." Maybe Korean dramas are more your thing (Don't worry you're not alone.) You have a visual buffet awaiting you. And of course, let's not forget the international sensation K-pop has become. Look up BTS, Blackpink, and other popular Korean songs to practice your pronunciation as you enjoy some tunes. For something more low-key, curl up somewhere comfortable and dive into the literary world of Sun-mi Hwang, Seo Jeong-ju, or other Korean authors. 🥇 Is Korean hard to learn?

Learning a language with a new sentence structure and writing system can be daunting, like with Korean. Learning Korean can be hard at first, but after you've had some lessons with a private Korean tutor you will notice you're making progress already.

On average, it takes around 88 weeks or 2,200 hours to learn Korean. As with any language you want to learn, the more time you're willing to invest the faster you will learn. To make progress we recommend taking at least two Korean lessons a week.

🎓 What are the most popular Korean tests?
The Korean Language Proficiency Test (KLPT), particularly for non-native speakers, suits those looking to work in Korea. Getting certified can help you advance your career or at the least confirm your proficiency. On the other hand, the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is for students trying to enroll in Korean universities or graduate schools. Job seekers can also take this test to work at Korean companies and public institutions. Lastly, passing the TOPIK is necessary to obtain an F-5 visa if you're not married to a Korean citizen.
