Hi,

I’m Tomi. I’m Hungarian, a mechanical engineer, and I speak four languages, so I know how exciting it is to learn a new language.

I spend my spare time in nature, and I believe that learning a language is like going on a hike: we explore new things step by step while enjoying the journey.

Although I do not have formal teaching experience or certifications in language education, I am passionate about helping others improve their Hungarian through conversation. As a native Hungarian speaker with a strong command of Hungarian, I can support learners by providing a friendly, patient, and relaxed environment where they can practice speaking and gain confidence.

Since I have difficulty with listening and speaking, my skills have improved significantly after taking classes with Tamás. Watching and practicing the videos that Tamás sends me every day has been a great help. I am really glad to have met Tamás, who conducts classes in this way. As time goes by, I feel that my listening and speaking are becoming more natural. Tamás selects various materials that are perfectly suited for me and applies them. As a result, I feel renewed in my learning every day. I hope many people get to work with such a great teacher. I am truly happy to have met such a wonderful teacher. Additionally, my pronunciation was terrible, but he has guided me on this almost every day. He sends me pronunciation files and has been considerate enough to let me practice them alone at home. This has been an enormous help. I have made significant progress, especially with sounds like z and zs. If I hadn't met Tamás, I would still be speaking in a way that Hungarians would find hard to understand. I also thank LearnZone for introducing me to such a teacher. Tamás assigned a special homework task, which was to write sentences on my own without the help of Google Translate. It was an assignment to write about childhood experiences or weekend experiences without using a translator. It was like an essay, and at first, I thought it was impossible, but once I tried, it became manageable. Of course, there were many spelling mistakes and sentences that didn't follow grammar rules, but I was really surprised that I could do this on my own. Tamás corrects everything and explains why it was wrong during class. This way, I find myself trying to think in Hungarian more often. I am very grateful to Tamás for conducting classes in this manner. Tamás paid attention to what I am interested in and made sure to use materials related to that. Knowing that I wanted to read the Bible in Hungarian, he allocated some time each lesson to guide me in reading it accurately and confidently. Perhaps because of that, I have started waking up earlier in the morning because I want to read the Hungarian Bible, which I used to find so difficult. When my husband says that what is happening to me now is amazing, I tell him it is thanks to Tamás. I am truly grateful to Tamás for conducting such classes. Thanks to Tamás, I have developed a habit of writing a diary every day lately. It is also amazing that I am writing my diary in Hungarian. I hadn't written a diary since middle school, and now, in my old age, I find myself writing a diary again, and even in Hungarian, it feels like a dream. Now I can write simple sentences in my diary in Hungarian immediately without using Google Translate. I am truly thankful to have met such a teacher.
