Welcome to my LearnZone profile! My name is Betti, and I’m a native Hungarian speaker.

I graduated in International Relations, but teaching has always been a big part of my life. Even before and during university, I tutored children. I worked full-time for two families whose children were homeschooled, and I also gave weekly lessons to foreign children who needed help keeping up with school due to language barriers. I also volunteered to help children from disadvantaged backgrounds catch up at school.

I’ve just started teaching online here on LearnZone. If I had to pick one thing I like most, I would say it’s meeting people from very different backgrounds and hearing what motivates them to start learning Hungarian. I think it’s really exciting how varied those reasons can be.

My experiences mentioned above have allowed me to truly understand the meaning of Ignacio Estrada's quote: "If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn." My hands-on experience has helped me develop a practical and flexible teaching methodology. I focus on creating a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I adapt lessons to each student’s level, interests, and goals.
