1. Learning Goals and Level Check
To prepare the lessons, learning goals, Korean learning experience, reasons for studying Korean, and familiarity with Hangul are reviewed. Based on this information, the class direction is adjusted to match the student’s level and needs. 😊
2. Personalized Class Structure
Classes use a variety of textbooks such as Talk To Me in Korean, Sejong Korean, Yonsei Korean 3-Week Completion, Sejong Practical Korean, and Sejong Business Korean.
In addition to textbooks, lessons may include various videos and materials, such as learning Korean through the history of medicine, art history, and K-pop, allowing lessons to reflect topics that interest the student. 🎥📚
3. Lesson Review Report
After each class, a review report including Hangul, pronunciation guides, and English translations is provided so the lesson content can be organized and reviewed.
If pronunciation practice is needed, native Korean pronunciation recordings can also be included. 🎧
4. Questions During Learning
Questions related to the lesson or learning process can be sent through messages. 😊
Customized lessons are also designed based on topics that students are personally interested in. 🌟
For learners who find textbook-only classes repetitive, lessons can incorporate a variety of topics and materials to create a more engaging learning experience.
The focus of the class is on maintaining learning motivation, enjoying the learning process, and developing Korean skills in a meaningful and practical way. 🚀

Yiseo is a great tutor. Really warm, really patient, genuine - and she explains things in a way that actually sticks. Even when the grammar gets tricky, she breaks it down until it clicks. Her lessons are always well prepared but she's flexible too, so it never feels like she's just running through a script. I genuinely feel like I'm improving every week. Would 100% recommend her. It really makes fun studying with her, can't recommend her enough !!Joana

I'm so grateful for having Yiseo as my Korean teacher!! She's so encouraging and kind, always taking the time to either repeat when I don't understand or to explain concepts she can tell I'm struggling with. It's clear she takes her time preparing each class and her constant support has helped me feel more confident to speak up and try to express myself more completely. In addition to the carefully curated classes that take my priorities, interests, and goals into account, she always provides detailed documentation explaining everything I’ve learned, along with exercises to practice. I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for Yiseo! She’s not only super encouraging, but puts so much effort into lesson preparation and providing summary afterwards, explains very patiently and just shows perfect balance of when to support and when to challenge. I’ve been taking two Korean lessons (1 hour each) per week with Yiseo for about a month now, and the experience has been exceptional. She’s incredibly organized and consistently comes fully prepared. Every lesson is tailored to what I actually need, which is the entire point of a 1:1 tutor. Her approach checks every learning-style box: visual explanations, auditory practice, and plenty of speaking out loud. The result is an immersive, focused lesson every single time. She puts real thought into her planning, and it shows not only during the session but also in the comprehensive report she sends afterward. These reports capture everything we covered: planned material, corrections, and all the natural detours that happen in real conversations, along with personalized homework. Because of that level of personalization, I’ve seen a huge improvement in just one month. Enough that I’ve already increased my lessons to two-hour sessions. She’s also flexible and understanding about scheduling, which matters because I work a full-time job and life doesn’t always cooperate with my calendar. Honestly, finding a tutor like Yiseo feels like winning the lottery. I’m confident I’ll reach my language goals with her and probably surpass them, because she adapts to whatever I need. I highly, highly recommend taking lessons with her. You won’t be disappointed.
