Hello, my name is Imelda. I am a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines. I have been teaching in this company(LearnZone) for almost 4 years, more than half of my experience in teaching online. I was also a classroom teacher for more than 20 yrs.

I am a Visayan(Cebuano) native speaker because I was born in the region where Cebuano is the official dialect. I can teach you how to speak it with the right pronunciation and accent as how it should be spoken. If you have plans of visiting the Philippines, learning Cebuano is helpful because it is one of the most widely spoken dialects in the country.

Aside from being a licensed teacher, I am also a TESOL and TEYL certified. I can teach both young and adult students. Most parents of young learners choose me because I always use appropriate teaching aids and I adjust my speech to the student's level (grade language).

As I teach, I always consider my students' knowledge level. I encourage them to ask questions and tell me how I may help them more without hesitations. I'm aware that starting something is not always easy, so I'm always patient and understanding when it comes to their learning pace.
