Merhaba! I'm Mehmet 👋😊
I teach Turkish from zero to conversational level! Most of my students want to talk with their Turkish partner, their partner's family and friends, or they just love Turkish culture and can't get enough of lahmacun, mantı, iskender, menemen 🍽️
I've taught over 7,000 lessons in 7 years, so I've learned what actually works. We start from the very beginning with the alphabet, pronunciation, and grammar, and we build everything step by step 📚
My lessons are organized and structured, but also fun and engaging! I'm not the kind of teacher who just follows a textbook page by page. I love laughing, making jokes, and keeping things positive 😄 Learning should feel good, not like a chore ✨
I have a clear system so you always know where we're going and what we're working on. After each lesson, you get homework and study materials to practice with. And yes, homework is part of the process because that's how you actually learn! 💪
Quick note: My teaching style works best with adult learners who are starting from the beginning 🎯 I focus on building a strong foundation from zero, not on exam preparation or conversation-only practice. If that's what you need, I'm probably not the right fit for you 😕

Mehmet is an amazing teacher. He has given me a very structured plan for learning Turkish, showing how I will progress every week. The lessons are great, mixed with daily conversations, reading and writing. After every lesson I get an individual homework and very good material on Quizlet. After trying DuoLingo and Pimsleur I needed a structured approach and Mehmet's lessons introduce grammar and vocab in a logical and structured way that helps you learn. The lessons are intense but I feel I am now making progress and understand better how the language works. Just need to practice now !Luis

Mehmet is a great tutor, and he has helped me significantly improve my Turkish. His lesson plan is well structured, starting with the basics and slowly working up to more advanced concepts. My goal is to get you speaking Turkish naturally but we build this skill properly from the start. I don't offer "let's just chat" sessions. Instead, we create a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary first, then develop your speaking ability step by step. This way, you'll communicate clearly and confidently 😊
