Hello, my name is Maria Cristina. I’m an ESL and Business English Coach with nearly two decades of teaching experience, having started my career in 2006. Over the years, I’ve worked with learners from diverse cultural backgrounds, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and Swiss students, ranging from young learners to adults. I specialize in guiding students at all levels, from beginners to advanced and near-native proficiency, with a strong focus on practical communication and real-world language use. My approach is learner-centered, helping students build confidence, fluency, and the skills they need to succeed in both everyday and professional settings. I have been teaching English since 2006, starting my career as an ESL teacher and later progressing into a Business English Coach. I hold a 120-hour TESOL certification and completed a practice teaching seminar in Nara City, Japan in September 2019. I have taught a wide range of learners, including young students at an eikaiwa school (private language school) in Japan, as well as adult learners from various cultural backgrounds. My teaching experience includes both General ESL and Business English courses. I am comfortable teaching beginner-level conversational English, while also supporting intermediate to advanced learners in developing professional communication skills for workplace and business settings.

I am a flexible and adaptive educator who tailors lessons to meet each student’s individual needs, learning style, and goals. My focus is always on helping students build confidence, fluency, and practical communication skills in English.
