Hi there! I'm Finn, currently living in Germany but originally from Taiwan. I have several years of experience teaching cross-linguistic communication. My academic background is quite unique, spanning history, journalism, and theater studies, which influences how I view language: it's not just about "what you say," but also "how you say it."

Besides my native Chinese, I’m fluent in English and German, and I’m currently learning Spanish. In my free time, I enjoy musicals, politics, philosophy, and dancing Salsa. You’ll never run out of topics to chat about with me!

I firmly believe in learning a language through "speaking out loud." Building the confidence to express yourself is more important than diving into grammar or technical details right away. The essence of language is connecting people, and this desire to know others is the strongest motivation for learning a new language. For years, I’ve been teaching Chinese and English speakers, helping them express themselves more clearly and confidently. Most importantly, I help them express what they want to say in a more "vivid" way.

No matter what level you’re at, there’s a suitable starting point for your learning journey. From my experience, the most effective way to learn a language is to place it in real-life situations. For example, if you wanted to go to a café, but it’s too crowded and noisy, so you end up choosing takeout and going for a walk. How would you express that?

Or maybe you want to tell a colleague that you originally planned to go out partying over the weekend, but ended up being lazy in bed, and now you’re wondering if you’re really getting old. How would you say that?

Book a trial lesson with me, and let’s start practicing expressions you’ll actually use in your daily life!
