About me
Hello, my name is Maria. I am a Czech language specialist with over 10 years of teaching experience.
I hold a PhD in the theory and practice of translation and studied Czech as my primary academic specialization. In Prague I worked at a Czech state medical institute under the Ministry of Health, which gave me deep insight into both everyday and professional communication.
I work with students at different levels - from A1 to C1 - and tailor each lesson to their specific goals and background. I especially enjoy working with motivated students who value structured, steady progress and want to approach Czech seriously and strategically.
I specialize in:
• Medical Czech for healthcare professionals
• A2 and B1 exam preparation
• Clear and structured grammar explanation
• Pronunciation training and speech clarity
My lessons combine academic precision with practical communication. I design personalized learning plans based on your level, goals, and timeline. Each step builds logically on the previous one, so you always understand why you are learning something and how it supports your progress.
At the same time, I believe language learning should feel supportive and manageable. I create a calm, friendly environment where you can build confidence, don't afraid to make mistakes, and communicate naturally.
I currently live in Switzerland and continue learning new languages myself, which helps me understand the challenges students often experience.
If you are preparing for an exam, planning to work in healthcare, relocating to the Czech Republic, or aiming to move from one level to the next, I will guide you step by step with clarity, structure, and encouragement.

My teaching methodology combines:

• Focused pronunciation training and accent reduction
• Real-life communication practice
• Task-based exam preparation

• Continuous feedback and measurable progress tracking
I have particular expertise in Medical Czech. Having worked for seven years in a Czech state medical institute, I understand authentic professional communication in healthcare settings. I help medical professionals develop both technical vocabulary and confident patient interaction skills.
