Hi there! My name is Valeriya, I live in Florida, but I’m originally from Siberia. I’m a teacher of Russian as a foreign language for children and bilingual families.

My approach is all about learning Russian through music, play, and real conversation, with a clear structure and understandable results.

In our classes, we:

• Develop conversational Russian

• Expand vocabulary

• Work on listening comprehension

• Gently tackle grammar in context

I incorporate elements of songs, rhythm, and folklore so that the language is learned naturally and joyfully — without overload and pressure. My lessons are perfect for bilingual children and beginners who want to not just "learn" but also feel the language and culture.

I work online, individually, taking into account the child’s age, level, and goals.

Experience:

— 1 year working in a bilingual preschool: supporting the Russian language through play, daily routines, songs, reading, and live communication.

— 3 years working in summer bilingual camps for bilingual children: conducting language and creative classes, games, and group activities in a Russian-speaking environment.

— Practical experience supporting the Russian language with my own bilingual children: developing speech, vocabulary, and interest in the language in a natural, supportive atmosphere.

I use a gentle approach, without pressure or "forcing to speak," focusing on the child’s interests and level.
