About me

Hi there! My name is Andrea, and I was born in Stockholm. I help families moving to Sweden prepare for school/preschool, daily routines, and communication. With a background as a Montessori teacher and yoga instructor, I'm used to explaining things clearly and meeting both adults and children where they are. I've been tutoring privately for over a year.
I have several years of experience teaching and facilitating learning in international environments, working with both children/young people and adults. I worked as a Montessori teacher at Stockholm Montessori School Anne Frank, where I supported students (ages 9-12) with individualized plans, clear structure, and ongoing observation, while also maintaining daily communication with parents.
I've also created and implemented project-based programs (including summer programs and bilingual concepts), and I have extensive experience as a yoga and mindfulness teacher, which influences my teaching style: a calm pace, clear instructions, and a safe environment where you feel comfortable speaking.
In my classes, I focus on practical, goal-oriented teaching: everyday situations, school/preschool, meetings, and communication. We set a goal, make a simple plan, practice with role plays, and build phrases + vocabulary that you can use right away.
Education: Montessori specialist training (Waterpark Montessori) and a bachelor's degree (University of Sussex).
Feel free to book a trial lesson with me, and we'll create a simple plan based on your needs, level, and goals.

Andrea is a fantastic Swedish teacher. She has a natural way of making lessons feel relaxed while still being very productive, and she always adapts to your pace and learning style. I really appreciate how she balances structure with flexibility, so you stay on track but never feel overwhelmed. She’s also incredibly kind and supportive, which makes it much easier to practice speaking without hesitation. Every lesson feels engaging and worthwhile, and I’ve noticed consistent progress since learning with her. I’d definitely recommend Andrea to anyone who wants to improve their Swedish!
