About me
Hi! I’m Scip, a 28-year-old teacher from Amsterdam. I studied Biology and Education in the Netherlands. I’ve taught Biology at secondary school level and Dutch to Dutch children in Bolivia, and I have experience teaching students online at all levels, including young learners.
Currently, I teach languages and science online while traveling through South America on my motorcycle.
I’m a native Dutch speaker and I also speak fluent English and Spanish. Outside of teaching, I enjoy sports, reading science books, and exploring new places.
I have over seven years of experience teaching private lessons. I have taught guitar, Dutch, and Biology in schools and internationally, both in person and online. I have worked with students of all ages, including young learners from the age of four. I studied Education for one year and provide structured, interactive lessons tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning style.

I had been wanting to learn Dutch for a long time, and I can honestly say that lessons with Skip have helped me become more confident and progress much faster than I ever expected. He is always super prepared, and his lessons are very clear, dynamic, and interactive. He explains everything in a way that is easy to understand, which makes learning feel much less intimidating. Scip is really friendly and makes the lessons interesting and engaging. He works on identifying the areas you are weak and helps you focus on them. He also makes you think quite a bit before offering a solution which is a great way to learn. I highly recommend him as a tutor!
