About me
Hi! I'm Dario, a native Italian teacher.
I have been studying foreign languages for years (English, Chinese, and Korean), so I understand how challenging it can be to start speaking a new language, especially when it’s very different from your own.
I speak English and Chinese, so I can support you in your own language if needed.
I often work with international students, especially Chinese learners, and I know the most common difficulties when learning Italian.

Dario is very patient and speaks excellent Chinese as well. During the lessons, you always feel comfortable because the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. Additionally, during the conversation exercises, he corrects mistakes and notes them down, which is very helpful for later review. Three months in, and I'm really happy with how my lessons are going with Dario. What works best for me is that the sessions are built around real conversation. He always comes prepared with topics, so it feels less like a drill and more like exchanging opinions. He’s also very supportive, and helped me feel a lot more confident speaking. I've also noticed that I'm getting much better at catching my own common mistakes before or right after I say them, which has made my Italian a lot cleaner. Dario is so welcoming and provides a relaxed environment to study Italian. He covers important verbs and tenses and we use these in class during our conversations. He uses the Whiteboard for our notes during class and sends off in a PDF, which I love and appreciate. I use these to go over after every class. I look forward to my lesson with him every week. Dario is an excellent teacher, talented, patient, rigorous, and dedicated. All the lessons are interesting, the vocabulary and grammar points during the class are noted and accompanied by examples, then sent at the end of the class. Dario has a great theoretical and practical knowledge of the language that he knows how to convey effectively and simply. He adapted to my beginner level with flexibility and kindness, which boosts my confidence to express myself.
