Hi, I’m Michely, your Colombian 🇨🇴 Spanish tutor.

I’m from the Pacific region of Colombia, a place known for its warmth, rhythm and culture. Outside of teaching, I love walking, cycling, traveling and discovering new cities, as well as enjoying good food and meaningful conversations.

My teaching journey began unexpectedly when I worked as an au pair and helped my host kid’s grandmother learn Spanish. That experience taught me two things:

• I have a natural ability to explain grammar, pronunciation and complex ideas in a simple, practical way

As an adult who also learned another language, I know that learning is not always easy. Sometimes it feels confusing, frustrating or slow and that’s completely normal. My role is to accompany you with clarity, patience and support so you can build real confidence at your pace.

I am a certified ELE teacher with more than two years of experience teaching Spanish online. I create all my own class materials, which allows me to adapt every session to the individual needs, goals and learning style of each student. My classes have a strong grammatical foundation: I explain Spanish in a structured and simple way so you can finally understand how it works. I also use listening and audiovisual resources to help you become familiar with the language, different accents and natural pronunciation.

My lessons are also conversational, allowing you to learn and practice everyday expressions, neutral Spanish, and authentic Colombian slang. This balance between structure and real life communication helps you understand, apply and enjoy the language with confidence.

My background in communication has allowed me to design classes that are organized, practical and highly effective for adult learners.

• We talk about your interests, your past experience with Spanish (if any), and your expectations.

• I evaluate your level in a calm way through a simple conversation.

• We complete a short activity based on your level (vocabulary, reading, or listening).

• I give you clear feedback about your current level and explain the study plan we will follow.

• If you feel comfortable, we agree on how to continue with the next classes.
