I achieved Distinction in both the oral and written Cambridge O-Level Chinese examinations. As a Singaporean, Chinese is an inseparable part of my daily life and communication.
My academic background is in Engineering, and my professional career is in Banking and Finance. Because of this, I specialize in teaching corporate Chinese, including sales language, negotiation skills, and business communication. If you’re interested in topics such as sales cycles, business conversations, or trade and finance, I can integrate these naturally into our lessons.

Learning Chinese is not scary. You only need about 30 core vocabulary words and 4 distinctive tones to start speaking correctly. Chinese pronunciation can be learned using English-based phonetics, and I have successfully taught complete beginners conversational Chinese in just 4 lessons.

Mr Ng is a very patient and structured Mandarin tutor. What I appreciate is he makes sure I pronounce words correctly before moving on, which has helped me build confidence. He also goes through test papers thoroughly from beginning to end, explaining common question formats and highlighting words that are frequently used, whether in adult or children’s texts. This makes learning practical and relevant. Mr Ng always reviews content from previous lessons, which I find very helpful for reinforcement.
