About me
Hello! I'm Carlos, a former math olympian and currently a doing my bachelor's degree in computer science. I have a passion for both mathematics and computer science, and I've always liked to teach. I also like philosophy, music, and reading!
I have already given three courses on university-level topics for high school students at international mathematics camps.
Mathematics:
- Combinatorics and Graph Theory
- Euclidean Geometry
- Number Theory
- Abstract Algebra (groups, rings, etc.)
- Calculus and Real Analysis
- Linear Algebra
- Axiomatic Set Theory
- Propositional and Predicate Logic
- General proof-writing
- Formalizing Mathematics in the Lean proof assistant
My approach could be considered discovery-based; I like to teach subjects by showing how they could have been discovered and developed historically, emphasizing exploration, experimentation, and historical context.
Book a trial lesson so we can discuss what you want to learn! Mathematics need not be scary–I truly believe that all human beings have the ability to learn these topics, which will expand their minds and spirit. I will show you the path.
