About me

Hello, my name is Sophia and I am an English Teacher from USA Arizona. I studied English Literature and Pre-Law in Arizona before moving to Los Angeles to teach Art and English. I love teaching and I believe everyone has a different pace and way of learning, and as a teacher I tailor how I teach to each individual student. I look forward to working with you!

I spent 2 years in University as a teaching aid and 3 years teaching at an elementary school. I have also taught adult classes for several years.

Together we will create a curriculum that works for you. If you prefer a more bootcamp strict approach to learn fast or if you prefer a more laid back fun approach let me know, and I will make sure I adjust to your learning style.

Sophia is an excellent tutor! She has helped me prepare for the SAT, and has improved my time management. She taught me how to interpret quickly and effectively, and taught me great vocabulary. I’ve been taking classes with Sophia, and I truly feel much more confident when I speak English now. She understands the learning process I’m going through and always adapts her lessons to my specific needs. She explains grammar clearly, corrects mistakes in a constructive way, and makes the classes feel comfortable and motivating. I especially appreciate how she helps me use tenses naturally in conversation instead of just memorizing rules. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their confidence and speak more naturally.

Sophia is an amazing teacher, I really enjoyed our classes and was happy to meet such a great tutor! Unfortunately due to my busy schedule, I had to stop our classes, but if I have a chance in the future, I would like to join our classes again! Thank you for your support and time ❤️
