Dear students, Hello and Welcome! :)

My name is Sébastien, and as you'll soon realize, I'm as French as I first appear—with one exception: unlike most of my compatriots, I have a particularly good command of English!

You may have just found the only person on this platform who loves the French language with as much enthusiasm as they know its every nuance:

its structure, its nature, its history, its transformations and mechanisms, sublimated by literature, throughout the ages and in all the elegant elaborations of French poetry.

Becoming bilingual after a master's degree in French literature (or trilingual, since I learned Japanese on my own) proved invaluable starting in 2020, marking the beginning of my current career. I worked as a language teacher, both online—internationally—and in person, initially for Japanese students, and then, since 2023, for Ukrainians in Kyiv, where I volunteer and where I still live.

Helping local people learn a language that can open doors to the world has been an incredibly enriching experience, I must say.

It reminded me how possible, even crucial for many people, it is to be trained in such skills. Beyond culture — or the joy of having wider access to it — becoming bilingual is for many the opportunity to work, study, live abroad and build a better life, as some of my Ukrainian students have already done.

Although I emphasize literature and philology, don't worry: my courses are suitable for beginners who simply want to watch French films without subtitles, embrace every aspect of the country's culture very broadly, or, more simply, find a job in Paris.
