I took lessons with Shino a month before I went on a trip to Japan. Once I signed up, she asked me about my goals and created a custom plan that fit my needs and schedule. She prepared a clear and concise lesson plan prior to each session and brought a positive, patient, and encouraging energy that enabled me to learn quickly and grow my confidence in my abilities. Through the lessons, I learned to read Hiragana, practiced a variety of everyday conversations, and learned about Japan and Japanese culture. Ultimately, these lessons with Shino made my trip to Japan so much more meaningful and enjoyable. I highly recommend!Katherine

Shino's profile and intro are only glimpse of the fun and safety you feel when studying with her. As someone who doesn't do as well in group language learning, having her as my one-on-one teacher has been way better personally, and I've learned so much more in the few weeks I've used LearnZone in comparison to my required school language. Shino takes the time to get to know you, what your goals are, and adapt the lessons based on how you want to apply learning Japanese. This has been the most fun month and I feel like I've made so much more progress than trying to study on my own. I can't recommend Shino enough. Shino's lesson was well prepared and she went at my pace, checking each time that I was ok. The lesson was truly fun and enjoyable and I had some good laughs. Shino's style is very supportive, she repeats often which is super helpful, walks you through the material then asks questions and guides you to the answer if you're floundering. Leaves you excited to learn more! The lesson is laid out clearly so that I can go back to our shared document and revise each class separately.
