Hi there,

My name is Alena. I worked as an elementary school teacher in Switzerland for six years before I decided to quit my job to travel and work as a yoga teacher. I have always been, and still am, a passionate teacher who values interpersonal interactions.

I love making knowledge accessible to different people. As a trained elementary school teacher, I can also apply this knowledge to teach adults who want to learn a new language or are looking for a patient teacher, as I know how to focus knowledge on what really matters and make it accessible.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Switzerland and have worked as an elementary school teacher for six years. In my classes, I worked inclusively, meaning that children with learning difficulties, behavioral issues, or disabilities could learn and participate in a public school setting. The kids in my class ranged from six to twelve years old, which created a vibrant mix of ages, knowledge levels, and cultures. That's why social and enjoyable learning is important to me.

Throughout my six years as a teacher, I've worked with a diverse range of people - different age groups, various subjects, and unique individuals. This has allowed me to gain many strategies and knowledge to make learning accessible. My curiosity, compassion, reliability, and dedication when I commit to a job define me as a teacher and as a person.
