Hello my name is Luisa and I am a multinational human from the UK, the US and Canada!!! With over 20 years of experience as a bilingual and IB educator, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of international and bilingual school settings, teaching MYP Language and Literature and DP English Language A and B HL. My passion for education goes beyond the classroom—I’ve contributed as an IB Principal Examiner, content creator, and teacher trainer, always aiming to inspire meaningful, student-centered learning. I integrate mindfulness and creativity into my teaching, drawing on my background as a yoga and meditation facilitator and my love for creative writing. I believe in fostering inclusive, supportive environments where students feel seen, heard, and empowered. Outside of school, I enjoy music, hiking, reading, and connecting with nature and community through volunteer work.

I am a certified bilingual educator with over 20 years of experience teaching English in international and bilingual schools, including MYP Language and Literature and DP English Language B HL at institutions such as Colegio Colombo Británico, New Cambridge, and Colegio Jefferson. I hold a TESOL certificate from Trinity College London and have completed specialized IB trainings in MYP and DP, serving as both Principal and Assistant Examiner for the IB, as well as a teacher training content creator and workshop facilitator. My teaching methodology emphasizes inquiry-based learning, intercultural understanding, and student well-being, integrating mindfulness and creativity to foster meaningful engagement. I hold a BA (Hons) in Latin American Studies from the University of Liverpool and have taught across all grade levels, from preschool through university, supporting students in IELTS, FCE, IGCSE, and IB exam preparation. My practice is rooted in creating inclusive, dynamic learning environments that honor each student’s voice and potential.
