Hi, my name is Helen and I am a certified English teacher with 15+ years experience. I lived in Spain for 7 years where I taught conversational English to adults and in Iraq for 12 years where I taught in international schools. Learning is easier when it is fun so I focus on student-centred and interactive methods that encourage student engagement and participation. I enjoy reading, history and learning about different culltures so teaching English as a foreign language is great as I too am learning as I interact with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

I am a certified TEFL teacher with 15+ years of teaching experience. I also have a Bachelor's degree from University College London. I have experience of teaching individuals, small groups and classes of up to 30 students including some with learning difficulties. Some of my students came to me without any English at all, while older students had some command of English and wanted to focus on conversational skills. My approach to teaching focuses on student-centred methods that promote active learning and interactive methods which encourage discussion and active participation.
