About me

Hello, my name is Emily. I am from Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. I am 23 years old and have a love for teaching young children. I am currently teaching at a neurodiverse school in Howick and finish at 1pm, I absolutely love what I do! Some of my interests and hobbies include fishing, running, reading, and studying.

I have two years of teaching experience, both being in special needs. I am TEFL certified, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, I have a certificate in teaching children with autism spectrum disorder, and I am currently completing my PGCE in Foundation Phase. I enjoy making learning fun and physical as I don’t believe any child enjoys sitting or information overload.

Emily is a wonderful teacher! She teaches my 7-year-old daughter, and we couldn’t be happier. She is always friendly, engaged, and full of positive energy. Her lessons are entertaining and interactive, which keeps my daughter focused and excited to learn. Most importantly, my daughter genuinely enjoys her classes and looks forward to every lesson. Emily has been teaching my 6yo kid to read, as it was the main goal. The progress is amazing! I could never made my daughter love reading and now she finally started to read by her own and does it gladly. Emily finds a way to make lessons fun and easy, she is a skilled teacher and a very pacient and a nice person. My daughter just loves these lessons!
