Would you like to learn Greek from scratch? Or perhaps you already know some Greek and would like to expand your vocabulary and practice speaking with a patient teacher who offers clear and supportive corrections. Maybe you are looking for intensive, well-structured lessons with the goal of passing the A2 Ellinomatheia examination. If so, you’re in the right place!
My name is Michaela, and I am a Greek language teacher working exclusively with adults. I studied History and Archaeology at the University of Crete, and for the past four years I have been teaching Greek as a foreign language online. I speak Greek, English, and Russian, and I am currently learning Mandarin Chinese.
Whether you are an absolute beginner, have basic knowledge, or are already at an advanced level, I would be happy to help you achieve your learning goals.
Our lessons can be structured and intensive or more relaxed, depending on your needs and preferences. We can focus on clear grammar explanations, practice through a variety of exercises, talk about your daily life, read short stories in simple Greek, and listen to Greek songs.

Michaela is an excellent teacher and her lessons were very enjoyable and useful. She quickly adapted to my level of Greek and was able to tailor the lessons to my needs, and had plenty of learning resources available. Michaela is very pleasant and fun, which makes a real difference for a 5 yo being motivated to do the lessons. Her pace is really good, where she makes sure to speak enough English so my son doesn't feel lost but continuously increases her use of Greek very naturally. Michaela is a great teacher, naturally fun for kids and very effective, without making the lesson feel like a chore.
