I have many years of experience helping students of different ages, including students, professionals, teenagers and young children. I'm happy to talk about all things British - culture, manners, language and fun. I’m here to help you with your English - whether you want to practice real, authentic conversation, business English, creative writing, or academic English.

I have a lot of experience teaching English language, literature, and creative writing. I have a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing, so I understand language, novels and stories very well. I teach students of all ages and from many different backgrounds. I love to use books and creative writing to help students learn English.

I change my lessons to fit each student’s needs. My lessons are both academic and creative. I always try to make students feel comfortable, confident, motivated, and ready to learn.

I have experience giving essay help for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and the CARS part of the MCAT exam. I have also helped students with the American Advanced Placement AP system, as well as the American SATs.

I can adapt my teaching strategy and lesson structures to suit the curriculums of other countries.

We have been working with Edward since September of last year, and our main goal from the very beginning was to prepare my son for writing essays for his future exams. As a non-native English speaker, it was very important for me to find a teacher who not only has a deep feel for the language and understands its structure, but who can also teach it through the lens of English literature. Edward has truly become that guide for us. Step by step, he is introducing my son to the subtle nuances of the language, building both his confidence and his skills. Over this period, my son has developed a genuine love for reading and has already gone through many books. The assignments Edward prepares for him are always engaging and thoughtfully designed - they not only improve writing skills but also stimulate imagination and independent thinking. My son studies at a British school, and it was especially rewarding to see that his recent film pitch assignment was recognized and selected as the best work in his class. This is a clear reflection of the progress he has made under Edward’s guidance. I can clearly see the improvement, and most importantly, my son genuinely enjoys the learning process. We are very grateful for Edward’s dedication, professionalism, and inspiring approach to teaching.

I’ve been taking English lessons with Edward for a few months now. We chat about all sorts of topics and he helps me with things like business presentations. Since then, my confidence in speaking English has improved significantly, and I can express myself much more fluently. I’d definitely recommend him!

I worked with Edward to refine my English through discussions of British and American poetry and literature. He was always well prepared, fully engaged, and skilled at guiding rigorous yet enjoyable conversations. Our sessions strengthened my analytical and debating vocabulary, sharpened my critical reading, and introduced me to new authors and poets. I recommend Edward without reservation as a teacher and scholar, especially for adult learners seeking to improve their English through the arts.
