Hi!

My name is Chandan, and I’m passionate about teaching Mathematics. I hold an Engineering degree from the University of Sydney, and for the past five years, I’ve been dedicated to helping students succeed in high school Mathematics.

Beyond teaching, I enjoy playing badminton, spending time with my family, watching cricket matches and thriller movies, and exploring knowledge-based content on YouTube.

I specialize in preparing students for the International GCSE, International A Level (IAL), IB, SAT, and GED exams in Mathematics. With over five years of full-time tutoring experience, I’ve helped students from various academic backgrounds build confidence and achieve excellent results.

As a former student, I received the Outstanding Pearson Learner Award in A Level Mathematics for achieving top scores in my country. I understand the academic challenges students face and how to guide them toward success.

My teaching approach is structured and student-focused. I help learners:

My specialties

Calculus

I have extensive experience teaching Calculus, including both differentiation and integration. I have taught these topics as part of IGCSE, A-Level, IB, and AP Mathematics subjects. My deep understanding of Calculus comes from both my own A-Level studies and my Engineering degree from the University of Sydney.

IB Math

Since 2020, I have been teaching IB Math: Analysis and Approaches to students enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme at international schools in Myanmar. I focus on building a strong conceptual understanding and helping students apply mathematical techniques to exam-style questions, as required by the IB curriculum.

GCSE Math

I earned an A* in Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics B and a 98.5% score in A Level Mathematics. I consider GCSE/IGCSE Mathematics to be the foundation for advanced mathematical learning. I have taught IGCSE Math to numerous students in Myanmar, including one who received the Outstanding Pearson Learner Award for achieving the highest score in the country in 2023.

Functions

Functions are a core topic in IGCSE, A-Level, and IB Mathematics. I help students understand the definition and types of functions, how to represent them graphically and algebraically, and how to solve equations involving functions. This foundational topic is essential for success in higher-level math.

Trigonometry

I regularly teach Trigonometry as part of IGCSE, A Level, and IB Mathematics. My lessons cover key topics such as basic trigonometry, trigonometric identities, and solving trigonometric equations. I focus on helping students develop a solid understanding and the ability to apply concepts in exam questions.

SAT Math

I have been preparing students for the SAT Math section since 2020. My approach involves first ensuring a clear understanding of the core concepts tested in the exam, followed by targeted practice using official questions.

GED Math

I support students preparing for the GED Mathematical Reasoning test by first building their confidence in essential math topics covered in the GED exams. I then guide them through regular practice with exam-style questions to develop their problem-solving skills and readiness for the test.
