About me

Hey everyone, I'm Hana, currently in Australia doing my bachelor's! I have over two years of experience tutoring students from primary school to university. I'll create tailored lessons based on your goals, which we can discuss in a trial lesson. Together, we can take your Japanese skills to the next level!

I don’t hold a formal teaching certificate, but I completed the International Baccalaureate (including Japanese) and have over two years of experience tutoring students across a wide range of ages.

In our trial session, we’ll start with a quick ice-breaker, then discuss your goals! My lessons are tailored just for you and will be supportive and encouraging, with English explanations if needed.

Hana is a very knowledgeable teacher who is also genuinely fun to talk to, and I always leave our lessons with new vocabulary that’s actually useful for real conversation. During my trial lesson a while back, I mentioned that while I understand grammar, I’ve been struggling to use a wider range of vocabulary naturally, and she really supports this by keeping clear notes on useful words I don’t use often while also correcting me when something sounds unnatural. She’s also extremely funny, which makes the lessons even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

It has been really fun learning Japanese with Hana! She’s easy to talk to, friendly, patient, and helpful. Not only do I get good conversation practice with her, but I also learn new and useful words, grammar, and common phrases each lesson. I highly recommend her!
