About me

Hello, my name is Cherry, 23 years old an English teacher from the Philippines. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English and currently just passed the course in Teaching English as a foreign language. I love teaching since I was a kid, and now it is my pleasure to give back and share the knowledge and skills that I've gained to all the people around the globe.

I've gained a year of experience in teaching English during my internship, and I have held a great passion as voluntary teacher in the remote areas of our community during pandemic. Additionally, my love for the English language has brought me to showcase my potentials especially in hosting events. With the above-mentioned experiences, I have developed a great desire to use my ability to help others in learning English specially those who are struggling to speak the language.

Conversational English

I was once a TED TALK presenter and that develops my skills on how to speak with my audience. In addition, being a pre-service teacher in the Institute of teacher education has shaped me on how to communicate with students with different level of language skills. Furthermore, being a host in some events of our community has developed my techniques on how to communicate with different types of people.

Business English

I was once a call center agent, and that experience have brought me on how to communicate with clients. I have discovered some vocabularies that are important to the business industry. Additionally, I have developed the strategies on how to speak with employers especially during application process.

English for beginners

I am a volunteer teacher in the remote areas of our community during pandemic. That experience made me encountered beginner learners that are struggling on how to speak or read English. With that situation, I was able to create different teaching styles to cater the needs of such type of learners.

English job interview prep

My job interview when I was applying for a call center agent is a challenging yet amazing experience. I was able to obtain knowledge and techniques on how to speak with the employer formally. Additionally, it made me learn how to answer every question and what are the necessary etiquette that an applicant must exhibit during the process of interview.

English Literature

As an English teacher, one of the tasks that we need to embody is to have the teaching styles on how to deliver literature to students. My teaching demonstration when I was a preservice teacher strengthen my skills on how to teach literature. It shaped me on how to convey the message of the literary piece to students and how to ensure that my students learned the given selection.

Writing

I am a secretary of a government organization in our community. Attending seminars to study the essential elements in writing documents had made me excellent on how to write formal or informal papers.

Literature

I am a type of person who loves reading, writing poetry and speeches. During my college days I have joined contests related to writing literatures and with that I was able meet the criteria on how to craft literary piece. Additionally, being a member of a performing arts has developed my art on how deliver dialogues.

TEFL

I just currently passed the course on Teaching English as Foreign Language. During my study I have gained teaching styles on how to teach English to learners with different language backgrounds. Through the said course, I have gained knowledge that are important in teaching English.
