About me
Hi there! I’m Julie from Greece, living in the vibrant city of Piraeus. Since 2013, I’ve been passionate about teaching both ancient and modern Greek to people from around the world.
When I’m not teaching, I love to cook, read, discuss books, and spend time with my family and friends. Traveling is another passion of mine—I enjoy exploring different cultures and their histories.
Since 2013, I have been providing in-depth lessons in ancient Greek, modern Greek, Greek literature, and Greek history. Over the years, I have helped more than 200 students enhance their academic performance and gain admission to Greek universities. In the past three years, I have also specialized in teaching Greek to foreign students, preparing them for language certification exams ranging from A1 to C2.
Currently, I am pursuing a postgraduate degree (MA) in Educational Technology, Distance Learning, Communication, and the STEAM method at the European University of Cyprus. This advanced education allows me to offer innovative and personalized instruction tailored to the specific needs and goals of each student.
My main goal is to ensure that students build a solid foundation in Greek, with a focus on accurate pronunciation, grammar, and syntax. I use my own electronic notes and provide supplementary material from certified sources. Additionally, I integrate games and digital applications into my lessons to make learning both engaging and effective.
With my extensive experience, I deliver customized instruction in Greek language and culture to help each student achieve their individual objectives.

I have extensive experience teaching absolute beginners, guiding them step by step from learning the Greek alphabet to forming simple sentences. My approach is structured yet interactive, ensuring that students feel comfortable and confident from the very first lesson.
Conversational Greek
I specialize in helping learners develop fluency and confidence in spoken Greek. My lessons focus on real-life communication through discussions on everyday topics (ex. travel, culture, family, work, shopping etc.). I integrate role-plays, dialogues and listening activities to help my students practice on authentic situations. With continuous feedback on pronunciation and expression, my students gradually sound more natural and feel more comfortable in conversation.
Intensive Greek
My intensive Greek lessons are designed for learners who want fast progress within a limited time frame. This course refers to students who want to sit for exams in Greek language, to relocate to Greece or they need the Greek language for professional purposes. I created structured learning plan tailored to my students goals combining the use of grammar, syntax, vocabulary, writing and listening.
Business Greek
My Business Greek lessons are designed for university students and professionals who want to improve their communication skills in a work-related contexts. Lessons focus on formal vocabulary and expressions used in meetings, presentations, negotiations and professional correspondence such as emails. My lessons also include role-plays and real-life scenarios from different industries and academic settings helping my students comprehend and communicate effectively and appropriately in educational or professional situations.
Greek Literature
I offer Greek Literature lessons to advanced learners who wish to explore the language through classical and modern texts. We analyze literature to enhance vocabulary, grammar and expressive skills while discussing cultural, historical and philosophical themes. These lessons encourage critical thinking, reading comprehension and written expression providing a deep understanding of both the Greek language and its rich literary heritage.
