About me

My name is Heather and I'm from Ireland. I enjoy playing games, yoga and going for walks. I’m also very interested in history and learning about new cultures and customs.

I currently work as an English teacher in language academies in Spain, where I specialise in preparing students for Cambridge and TOEFL exams. I have developed a strong understanding of exam techniques, common student challenges, and how to help learners improve their scores efficiently.

Alongside exam preparation, I have extensive experience helping students build the confidence they need to use English in real-life situations, particularly for studying, working, or living in English-speaking countries such as Ireland.

I also spent 4 years teaching English in high schools in Japan, where I taught over 1,000 students and designed my own lessons to develop speaking, listening, writing, and grammar skills. During this time, I prepared students for university entrance exams, job interviews, and English proficiency tests such as EIKEN.

Heather is a very great teacher. She takes a lot of time for her students and fully addresses their needs. The lessons are designed to be varied and cover different topics. She finds a good balance between speaking, writing, vocabulary, and reading, so it never gets boring. I can absolutely recommend her.

I have been studying with Heather for almost a year now, and I cannot recommend her enough. I started with a C1 level and we have been working towards C2, and I have seen significant progress in my English during this time. Her classes are always interesting, with the right balance of different language skills. She is very dedicated and clearly prepares the lessons in advance. On top of that, she is a fun and interesting person, which makes it a pleasure to talk with her about any topic.
