About me

Hello! I'm Alejandro and I'm an online Spanish and French teacher. I am passionate about languages, history, geography, and cultural, social and human studies.

I have been working as a French teacher since 2018 at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) of Mexico.

I have a certification as an online Spanish teacher from the Miguel de Cervantes European University.

For me, conversation is essential. In my method I try to integrate different aspects of the language (vocabulary, grammar, phonetics, intercultural skills, etc.) and always put them into practice with conversations adapted to the level of my students.

First time on this app, first time starting to learn Spanish with a teacher and so far Alejandro is exactly what recommendations are saying. I hope I'm able to make progress other than Duolingo 😉

To stay motivated, I knew that I needed a tutor who is interesting, smart and fun. Alejandro is all of these things - his curiosity, intelligence and patience make the sessions enjoyable even when I'm struggling to speak. He also clearly loves languages and will discuss differences in expressions and usage. I appreciate that he will just chat and encourage or correct me as I go, but he is also ready with structured lessons when needed. He is very observant in assessing what you need to work on, and intuitive about how to proceed with each lesson. I think with anyone else, I would have let my busy life interrupt my lessons, but I just really like talking with him, so this ends up being a relaxing but educational break from other responsibilities. Thanks Alejandro!

Great guy, great teacher. Been working with Alejandro for over a year now and he's been a big part of my Spanish learning journey. Easy to talk to, knowledgable, encouraging (this is a big one), good humor, and someone who you can just as easily shoot the breeze about your week as describe the rationale behind grammatical rules. Always something new to learn. Would 100% recommend him.

Alejandro is a good tutor and very smart. He sends me vocab when I am struggling and is good at explaining difficult topics. He also is good at focusing on what I am struggling with. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.
