I feel very supported in my lessons with Aya! She is straightforward in her explanations of grammar, and explains cultural nuances in the Japanese language with clarity. She is patient, giving me plenty space to put my thoughts into words. Though I make plenty of mistakes, I leave each lesson feeling capable of comprehending and communicating more in Japanese. Aya-san is very patient, kind, and understanding, and has helped me understand so much since I first started taking lessons. My understanding of grammar has especially improved, and I highly recommend her to anyone interested in learning Japanese! I especially appreciate how she doesn't make me feel rushed, and lets you figure things out without any pressure. Aya is an excellent Japanese teacher! Even after only my second lesson, I already feel more confident speaking and understanding grammar more naturally. She is incredibly patient, encouraging, organised, and fun to learn with. I especially appreciate how she adapts the lessons to my level and helps me use grammar straight away in conversation rather than only following the textbook.
