Hi, my name is Itza and I'm a Belgian living in Mexico.

With over 1,000 hours of teaching experience, I work with absolute beginners to very advanced students.

I've lived in various countries, including China, Brazil, and now Mexico. By living abroad myself, I've learned how essential language is for connecting with people, feeling at home in a new country, and creating new opportunities.

With over 1,000 hours of teaching experience, I've developed a clear and effective approach tailored to two main groups of students.

1. Students learning Dutch from scratch

For beginners, my lessons are based on a structured, grammar-focused textbook. This strong grammatical foundation is always supplemented with realistic texts, practical themes, and everyday situations, so you learn to speak as quickly as possible.

Speaking is at the heart of every lesson. You'll be talking a lot, starting from the very first class. My goal is to boost your confidence, help you enjoy expressing yourself, and guide you step by step in building longer and more complex sentences — of course, with plenty of support and assistance.

2. Advanced and fluent speakers

I also work with students who already speak Dutch well and want to further develop their fluency, vocabulary, and confidence in conversations. These lessons are highly interactive and thematically structured. We work with articles, podcasts, and current topics, which we discuss in depth during the lesson to actively use new vocabulary and expressions.

Additionally, I have experience preparing students for the ITNA exam (Interuniversity Language Test Dutch for Non-Native Speakers) and regularly work with learners who need professional, academic, or advanced Dutch for their careers.
