About me
Hi there! I'm a Spanish tutor from Puerto Rico. I know how intimidating it can be to learn a new language, so I aim to help students build their confidence in speaking and writing, always at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
I'm a professional linguist with master's degrees in translation and creative writing in Spanish, along with a bachelor's in English literature. I currently work as an independent translator and proofreader, and I have three years' experience as an English and Spanish tutor, as well as a teaching assistant, the latter of which I did volunteering through AIESEC in Hyderabad, India. As a tutor, I strive to help students improve their verbal skills so they can have rich and fluid conversations in Spanish. I also have experience in reading comprehension and writing in both languages.

Muchas gracias Patricia!! Patricia is carefully targeting my lessons to where I can make the most improvement (my weak spots) and is making recommendations for additional learnings (such as Spanish language films) which are very helpful. Her lessons are very clear and I feel that I get a lot from them both in terms of the content of the lesson and what I can do outside of the lesson. Patricia varies the nature of the learning exercises we do which keeps lessons interesting and focuses on grammar, vocab, listening and speaking in the proportions that I need.
