💖 I'm a huge fan of the Russian language, and I just love teaching it.

(At the moment, I’m not taking complete beginners, only A1+ students).

💁🏻‍♀️ What I think makes me a good tutor:

1) I've been learning languages myself (English, Spanish, and I've tried Korean), I've had many tutors and I'm trying to be that tutor I'd love to have myself. And I'm a very demanding student:)

2) I don't want you to waste your time, I want you to learn and improve. I don’t like small talk during lessons if it doesn’t help improve your Russian.

3) I'm always concerned about my students' progress, I feel my responsibility and I take it seriously.

4) I'm very attentive and I care a lot about teaching the correct way of speaking (even native speakers often make grammatical and stylistic mistakes and frequently stress words incorrectly).

5) But despite all this seriousness, I'm a very cheerful and sociable person. My students say they like my sense of humor, and the atmosphere in my classes is always friendly and never boring.

🧩 In my lessons, I pay attention to all aspects of the language: speaking, reading, listening, and grammar. I do my best to make sure my students speak as much as possible during our lessons.

⚙️ I also have an excellent understanding of Russian grammar, and I know how to explain it effectively and make it stick. I studied how Russian grammar is taught to non-native speakers, because at school, as native speakers, we learned a completely different kind of grammar.

📝 I keep a record of lessons in Google Docs, and I also use it to write down the mistakes my students make while speaking. Then we correct them together, and when they review it later, they remember how to correctly say what they wanted to say, which helps with their overall progress.

✨ It brings me great pleasure to help others master such a complex, yet beautiful, creative, and rich language like Russian, and I do my best to find ways for my students to enjoy learning and make progress.
