About me

Hello! My name is Kristine and I'm a certified Linguaphile (lover of languages). I'm a mixed-race native English speaker who splits her time in Asia and California. I am currently learning French and Spanish. My love for languages first stemmed from a burgeoning desire to read every book I found it's cover to be interesting in our local library. I may have not done that, but what developed was this ever-growing love in diving deeper into the nuances of language in general. Coming from an extensive medical background, I decided to stick my neck out and pursue my passion. It's been one of my best decisions to date. I've been professionally teaching English for 7 years now to various European and Asian nationalities focusing on (Business English, Conversational English Accent Reduction, Corporate Communication and Exam Preparation). However, having a little 5 year old has made me develop a passion for teaching the language to kids as well.

In my class, I work with a lot of creativity, positivity and individuality. My interest lies in several topics which I would love to discuss with all of you, and I’m happy to work with learners from any level ensuring that the learning-process is tailor-made to their needs.

I have more than 8 years in relevant teaching experience both online and offline having specialized in teaching executives with Conversation English, Business English and Corporate Communication. Also, I've been partnering with the HR Department of various CAC 40 companies in conducting Language Audits with their applicants.

I did some units in TESOL and have attended numerous webinars about teaching ESL and learning strategies.

I believe in adapting to my student's language needs and likely suit my manner of teaching to what would suit them and their learning style best.

Kristine is an amazing teacher! I like her classes way! I can learned a lot! She finds some interesting videos for me. We can learn knowledge in a funny way. Also,she explained every phrases to me and let me make a sentence so she can check. I am so happy to find a teacher like her! Her time is also flexible! I like taking her classes!!! Highly recommend my terrific teacher to everyone!

Amazing preparation of colourful, inspiring materials from the tutor. I'm so excited to get deeper with another set of new words and expressions which are in line with my goals.
