About me

Hello,

I've been a tutor on LearnZone for almost 3 years now. Before that, I used to teach and tutor people for over a decade.

My main specialties are algorithms, Programming (Java, Python, C/C++), Data Structures, as well as other fundamentals of Computer Science.

I got my MSc at Simon Fraser University.

I've been a teacher for 10+ years, I'm fairly confident in my knowledge, and teaching abilities, so one thing that I would usually require from my students is mutual respect.

If you're looking for help in regular CS courses or doing some LeetCode style interview practice, we can work together easily. If you have other inquiries, talk to me beforehand.

I would like my students to succeed in learning the material and gain more confidence in doing the work on their own eventually. I would like to see myself more as a person you go to when you need guidance or help, as opposed to someone you need in order to do your homework.

Mona is an amazing tutor with lots of skills and plenty of knowledge about computer science. She has helped me a lot with my Python and Java programming, and my written code + overall performance during tests and assignments has improved exponentially. Keep up the great work Mona!!!

Mona is a great tutor! She is very patient with her students as she wants them to learn as much as possible! On top of that, she also cares about her students and makes classes easier to understand. I am also very lucky to find a tutor like Mona! Otherwise, I wouldn't know how I would survive my classes.
