About me

I’m Deacon Vazgen.

I’m a passionate Armenian language teacher currently pursuing my master’s degree at the Gevorgian Theological Seminary. I specialize in both classical and modern Armenian and have years of experience helping students grasp the depth and beauty of the language.

Beyond theology and linguistics, I lead the Komitas student choir and am actively involved in Armenian and Hamshen national dances as part of the Veradardz Ethnic Song-Dance Ensemble. These cultural expressions are not just hobbies for me — they are ways to connect, teach, and preserve Armenian heritage.

I enjoy studying music notation and polyphony.

Teaching, music, dance, and faith all blend together in my life, creating a rich and meaningful path I love sharing with others.

I am a teacher of spoken, literary, and classical (Grabar) Armenian, with academic training and practical experience gained at the Gevorgian Theological Seminary.

Since 2016, I have been studying advanced modern and classical Armenian at the Seminary, deepening my understanding of the language’s structure, history, and usage.

In 2017, I began volunteering as an Armenian language teacher for school-aged children in camp settings, and by 2019, I started teaching in Sunday schools.

Since 2020, I have been providing individual lessons in both conversational and classical Armenian, tailored to students’ levels and learning goals.

My teaching is rooted in a systematic and structured approach, aiming to help learners gain a strong command of the Armenian language in all its forms.

I am a tutor specializing in spoken, literary, and classical (Grabar) Armenian. I offer lessons for beginners as well as for those seeking conversational fluency or specialized instruction.

English-speaking learners are welcome to practice Armenian with me, as I provide clear explanations and conduct sessions in English for smooth understanding.

My teaching approach is both structured and flexible, tailored to each student's level, goals, and learning style. Whether you're looking to improve everyday conversation or explore Armenian literature and classical texts․

Vazgen is a great tutor. He is teaching my son Armenian language and in only few lessons my son has made so much progress. Vazgen makes classes very interacting, interesting and fun. I highly recommend Vazgen to anyone who wants to learn Armenian language.
