Hi! I’m David, a native Colombian from Medellín. Outside teaching, I read with Comala, a Medellín reading circle, and explore art, film, and music. I also enjoy soccer, basketball, swimming, and cycling.

I’m a native Colombian tutor from Medellín with 4+ years of classroom and online teaching. I hold a BA in Literary Studies and a Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Antioquia, where I also completed an internship at a Spanish language school in Medellín. I’ve since taught A1–C1 learners worldwide, adapting lessons to different styles and digital environments.

Juan David has been brilliant so far as I butcher my way through the beautiful language of Spanish. He's very patient and has a great way of letting me speak but suggesting corrections at the right time. The lessons are structured and the homework all relevant and helpful to me and my needs. It's only been a few weeks and I feel like I've already stepped up my understanding levels.

Juan David is a great Spanish tutor! He has a great balance of grammar and conversation, he's super clear in his explanations and he's great at choosing a variety of materials for each lesson, so there's never a boring moment in his classes. He often introduces little tidbits of cultural knowledge without interrupting the flow of the lesson. He is a great listener, attentive to my needs as a learner, and he knows how to break the ice and ask questions to get me speaking.
