About me

Hello, my name is Diana! I am a fifth-year student at Karazin University in Ukraine. I also studied nursing for two years in college. I enjoy reading various kinds of literature, watching movies and TV series, traveling, and constantly learning something new.

I also enjoy studying foreign languages, and I believe that I can make the process of learning them more interesting and diverse for you, which will lead not only to great results but also bring you joy in the process.

The format of the lessons mainly depends on your goals and current language level. If we are talking about the beginner level, we will work on basic grammar, reading, writing, and organize lessons to include interactive dialogues.

⚠️ As an experienced language teacher myself, who has had SEVEN (!) tutors for learning Russian, I can say: pay attention to this rating! ⚠️ I have been learning with Diana for 11 months now. She is an incredibly 🟢 patient and friendly teacher, exactly what beginners need to successfully master the A1 and A2 level. So why is patience and speaking slowly so important? At the A levels, you have MANY MANY challenges thrown at you (👄 pronunciation, 📖 reading Cyrillic, etc.). The biggest challenge is not producing good grammar – it’s understanding vocabulary. Most people (students + teachers) focus too early and too heavily on grammar when learning Russian, but the real struggle is: A0: You don’t understand 95% of SIMPLE sentences. You need to ask a lot of questions, and Diana encourages exactly that. She also starts introducing more Russian as the language of instruction, very slowly, repeating words over and over to help you “survive” this phase. 🔄 A1.1: You start understanding about 40% of the words in simple sentences. Diana gradually increases her use of Russian in class. End of A1: You understand roughly 70% of simple sentences. By this point, Diana only rarely uses English to translate words. This is exactly how language learning should work. ✅ Even at the start of A2, there’s a constant challenge: you forget even the most basic words (I often forgot how to say “I forgot” in Russian! 😅). Diana completely understands this and adapts: she speaks slowly 🐢 and always uses basic vocabulary, helping you truly understand the foundations. I highly recommend Diana if you want to overcome that long phase of “I don’t know how to say this basic idea.” Many teachers overemphasize grammar, trying to teach multiple forms at once, which is impossible for most learners. Diana focuses on what really matters: building a strong vocabulary 📚 while gently increasing exposure to Russian. 🟢 Patient and effective, exactly what any beginner needs.
