About me

Hello! My name is Anna, and I’m a native Russian speaker who truly enjoys teaching and working with people.

I have two degrees (in Economics and Philology), and I completed a Master’s degree in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language. I regularly continue my professional development and actively work as a Russian teacher with adult students from different countries and at all levels: from complete beginners (A0) to advanced learners (C1).

Many people think that Russian is a very difficult language - and in some ways, that’s true. But it’s also a very logical language, and I enjoy showing this logic step by step. When students begin to understand how Russian works, learning becomes clearer, calmer, and much more enjoyable.

I also speak English (B2) and Serbian (B2), which helps me explain things more clearly and understand students’ difficulties.

For me, learning a language should feel supportive, calm, and motivating. I’m a calm and cheerful person, and I try to create the same atmosphere in my lessons. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking different dishes, and going for walks.

I have been teaching Russian as a Foreign Language since 2017. Over the years, I have worked with adult students from different countries and at all levels - from complete beginners (A0) to advanced learners (C1). I provide all learning materials for my students and adapt lessons to their individual goals and pace.

In my lessons, we work on all aspects of language learning: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I make extensive use of interactive platforms, authentic materials, songs, memes, and short videos to make learning more engaging and fun. My students say that my lessons are interesting, lively, and enjoyable, and I aim to create a relaxed and motivating atmosphere where learning feels natural.

Ana is an excellent professor, and above all, a good person. I am very happy that I managed to find such an attentive, smart, and fun Russian language teacher. During the class, we speak almost all the time in Russian, even though I am a beginner. The lessons are interesting because Ana combines material from many different sources. We also cover grammar, writing, and reading, so these lessons are really all you need to learn Russian. I would wholeheartedly recommend professor Ana to everyone!

Conversational Russian

We expand the student's vocabulary, read articles and authentic materials, watch videos, and, of course, speak a lot on different topics. I always focus on the student's interests and try to make the conversation engaging.

Russian for beginners

My favorite students are those who are starting Russian from scratch! I have a lot of experience working with beginners and will help you learn the language easily and confidently. We will move step by step: starting with the alphabet, we will gradually cover all the cases and complexities of Russian grammar. But even in the first lesson, you will start reading, understanding, and speaking!Throughout the course, we will cover key topics such as family, city, weather, hobbies, sports, and much more. You will be able to speak Russian, hold conversations, understand texts, feel confident in a Russian-speaking environment, and maintain conversations with Russian-speaking friends!

Intensive Russian

Russian Intensive Course is designed for those who want to make rapid progress in a short period of time. Through immersive and focused lessons, you'll quickly develop essential language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding Russian. Whether you're a beginner or looking to advance your proficiency, this course will help you achieve your goals with practical exercises, authentic materials, and personalized instruction tailored to your needs. TORFL

I offer preparation for the TORFL exam at levels A1 (ТЭУ), A2 (ТБУ), B1 (ТРКИ-1), and B2 (ТРКИ-2). I have completed specialized training and hold a certification in TORFL exam preparation, so I’m well-versed in the format and requirements. During our lessons, we will thoroughly go over the exam structure, practice typical tasks, improve your reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, and develop strategies to help you pass with confidence.Exam preparation requires a tailored approach, so these lessons are priced higher. The cost is discussed individually with the instructor.
