Hi, I’m Kobby, a qualified teacher with experience in IB, A-Levels, IGCSE, and AP Economics, as well as TOK and Extended Essays. I’m passionate about making learning engaging and supportive, and as a life-long learner I love motivating my students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, discovering new places, and music.

I have 16 years of teaching experience across three countries, specializing in Economics for high school students. I am a certified IBDP teacher, with qualifications in Economics & TOK, Cambridge AS & A Level Economics, and AP Economics. Mr Kobby is an amazing teacher who provides excellent help in understanding theory and exam prep. We worked together from August to May. During this period my IB economics grade increased from consistent 4s to 6s and 7s. He is willing to spend extra time and put in the extra effort to help you achieve your academic goals.

Since its about the time where we get PGs / first year interms, about time I give my comments to Kobby. Kobby is outstanding, although you will need to provide a equal level of engagement to fully make value out of his lessons. He is clear and consise, working on a online whiteboard where communication and storage of ideas/lessons are great. As with tutoring in general, he makes you hold accountability for your learning, which does have its mix of pros and cons, although it was for the better for me. I do full-heartedly recommend this man if you are looking for a better understanding of economics.

Lessons with Kobby were very useful for me! I did not have much time to prepare for the IB exam in economics, but during this time we managed to solve a lot of papers. Kobby's explanations were very useful and understandable for me and after lessons with him I began to feel more confident in solving papers. Kobby also helped me with my EE essay and TOK essay. His comments on corrections were always clear and with his help I was able to greatly improve both essays! Kobby is a wonderful teacher whom I would definitely recommend!

I contacted Kobby after I got a 3 in my IB Economics HL mock exams in year 13, and we had less than 3 months to prepare for actual exams. Kobby gave me confidence and made sure than I understood the Economics itself. We also practiced a lot of exam style questions, with an emphasis that I understand the questions. This made lessons more enjoyable and helped me to memorize the content better. We also learned different techniques on how to write an economics essay. Overall due to Kobby's tutoring I managed to get a final grade of 6 in Economics HL IB exams. I highly recommend this tutor.
