Hello:) Lovely to meet you! My name is Tamami from Fukuoka, Japan.

I am a qualified Japanese teacher and Speech therapist.

I have lived in UK, Malta, and Australia.　

I love to talk with new people and learn more about other cultures from all over the world. As a Speech therapist, I can help to check and correct your pronunciation.

Traveling, Reading, Netflix (Love British film, drama), Hamstar, Visit shrines and temples, Aromatherapy, medical topics (including alternative medicine), Tarot---I might be a witch in my previous life. lol

I've been teaching more than 2 years in LearnZone. I have volunteered as a social care worker for disabled people in the UK, worked in a care home for elderly people in Malta, and did an assistant Japanese teacher in grammar school in Melbourne.

Before I went to England, I couldn't speak English almost at all, so I know how hard it gets to learn and use another language.

I basically speak Japanese in my lesson so that you can immerse yourself in the language.

★For beginners: It is good to learn basic words, grammar, and some simple phrases first. I prepare some texts and some visual materials.

★For intermediate and advanced: Basically, we will make a plan depending on your needs, such as using some textbooks, original visual materials, online articles, novels, anime, useful onomatopoeia, role play, learning Japanese culture and history, discussing a topic you want to talk about and whatever you want to learn.

★My conversation lessons are not just about chatting. I care about teaching natural sentences in real-life contexts. I believe that in language-learning, it is important to use natural-sounding sentences and to immerse yourself in real-life situations.

Don't worry about making mistakes. I DO a lot in English as well!!

Then, I can find your weak point and the place you can improve.

I'd like to support you in becoming a fluent Japanese speaker. I'd like you to enjoy our lessons(not study study study!). I will help you’ll feel more comfortable and confident in speaking Japanese!
