Hello and assalam o alaikum. My name is komal and I am from Islamabad. Urdu is not only my native language but my area of academic specialization. I studied Urdu language and literature for four years for my bachelor’s degree. I also have two masters degrees, master’s degree in education and master’s degree in English Language Teaching. My background in Urdu and English language teaching helps me to understand the needs of English speakers and to relate Urdu phonemes, sounds and rules of grammar with those of the English language in order to help students learn Urdu faster and better. I am trained in pedagogical methods to use with students of all levels and ages. I determine what my student’s needs are and I plan each lesson in advance. I include in my lesson a number of activities and different exercises that keep my students engaged.

If you have no previous knowledge of the Urdu language and want to learn Urdu from scratch then I am here to teach you at a beginner’s level. I will give you enough confidence so that you start speaking Urdu without any fear of making mistakes.

If you have basic communication and conversational skills and want to learn how to write and want to speak Urdu perfectly and professionally then I will share my knowledge of Urdu vocabulary and literature with you. If you don't want to learn writing but only want to become fluent in Urdu conversation because Urdu is your partner’s language and your friends talk in Urdu, then I can focus on oral communication. I can plan our conversation according to your routine, job and environment so you can relate Urdu with your daily life.

My style of teaching is very interactive and student-centered because every student’s needs are unique. I tend not to lecture but rather to demonstrate how to use Urdu and engage in discussion with my students.

For kids I use different stories, visual materials and poems to make learning fun.
