About me
Hi, I’m Kary — a certified Chinese language teacher with over 7 years of full-time online teaching experience. I currently work with 25+ active students, and more than 10 have studied with me for over 5 years.
I teach both Mandarin and Cantonese. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to improve your daily conversation or business communication, I tailor lessons to your goals and level.
In addition to Mandarin, I also offer engaging and practical Cantonese lessons — perfect for those interested in Hong Kong dramas, music, or culture.
For children aged 12 and up, I recommend 2 lessons per week (25–45 minutes each), adjusted to their attention span. For adults, I suggest:
2 lessons/week if learning for travel or personal interest
3 lessons/week if preparing for HSK or professional needs
Materials include textbooks, videos, music, real-life dialogues, and personalized topics. I focus on what helps you progress the fastest — whether it's speaking, listening, reading, or writing.
Outside of class, I love fitness, climbing, and diving. These passions fuel my curiosity about language and cultural exchange.

For adults and teens of varying age groups or specific needs, I prepare customized materials for listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I focus on identifying each student's learning priorities and adjusting lesson plans to match their strengths and interests, ensuring an enjoyable and effective learning experience.
