About me
Hello! I’m Sowmya.
I am an experienced online Mathematics tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience. I hold an MA in Mathematics and an MBA in Financial Management, which enables me to teach mathematics with both strong theoretical clarity and real-world applications.
I teach students from elementary to higher secondary levels, covering topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics, and Probability. My lessons are concept-based, structured, and exam-oriented, helping students gain confidence and improve performance.
I have extensive experience teaching IB Mathematics (AA & AI, HL & SL), including full support for Internal Assessments (IA)—from topic selection and structure to mathematical reasoning and clarity. I also prepare students for GCSE, IGCSE, ISC, Common Core, 11-Plus, SAT, and ACT examinations.
My teaching approach focuses on:

Sowmya is easily the best math tutor I have ever had. I study under the ISC board, and Sowmya expertly accomodated to my board's requirements and expectations. She is extremely knowledgeable and is phenomenal at doubt clarifications, ready to explain a question how many ever times until I was sure I got the answer. She lets you go through your process of solving and helps you along the way while also informing you of other ways to approach the same sum. She provides a ton of resources and extra sums too .Nearing the end of my lessons with her, she perfectly pointed out the areas that I should watch out for during exams.
