I’ve conducted one-on-one Conversational English classes as part of my teaching work in four different countries, working with students of all ages and abilities. I love using conversation as a way to not only develop language skills, but also to connect with my students, understand their goals, and share our cultures. My sessions often lead to engaging, meaningful conversations, regardless of my students' level, that make learning both personal and enjoyable for us both!

During my teaching experience in Vietnam and Brazil, I delivered Business English lessons directly in the workplace, working with professionals from a range of industries. These included workers in fields such as hospitality, logistics, manufacturing, and tourism. I helped students improve their communication skills for real-life work situations, both in spoken and written form. My focus is always on making lessons practical, relevant, and tailored to the specific needs of each student and their job.

I am a native British English speaker, born and raised in London, in the UK. British English is my area of expertise, and I can help you master authentic pronunciation, idioms, and colloquialisms to speak confidently and naturally like a native British speaker!

As a frequent and passionate traveler myself, I understand the kind of English that’s most useful when travelling. I can help you learn practical, travel-focused language that makes your trips easier, more enjoyable, and helps you connect with locals along the way! I want to hear your travel stories too!

In my lessons, we’ll prepare you for common interview questions, specific to your field, to talk about your skills and experiences, and express yourself professionally in English. (Please note: I do not do interview prep in trial lessons; this will come in lessons following the trial.)

I have experience teaching children from as young as 2 years old, through to the teenage years. I know how to make my lessons engaging and catered to your child's needs and interests. I love working with children and seeing their progress, while teaching them through content they're engaged with!

Having completed three study placements abroad myself, I understand what it’s like to move to a new country and study in a second language. I can help you prepare for living and studying in an English-speaking environment. We can work on your written and spoken academic English, specific to your field of study, ad learn about what to expect from university culture in the UK!
