I have often a focus in conversational German with my students using a variety of techniques such as role-playing, discussions, mini presentations and storytelling. These often include tasks like ordering food at a restaurant, making travel plans, or giving directions to practice real-life scenarios. Other techniques included are for example giving summarys of videos, audio files or describing pictures.

Many of my students are beginners. I help them to remember new words and phrases through repetition and reinforcement. I introduce basic grammar and syntax concepts in a clear and structured way. Examples, explanations, and exercises are helping my students to understand sentence structure, verb conjugation, and word order. Sometimes Visual aids and props are used to help my students understand new vocabulary and concepts.

Some of my students need intensive classes in german. The focus here is on helping students develop practical language skills that they can use in real-world situations. A communicative approach emphasizes the use of language in meaningful communication, rather than simply memorizing vocabulary or grammar rules. In these cases I use a clear and structured curriculum that covers all of the essential language skills in a relatively short amount of time. I also use a language learning app, online resources, and interactive activities that allow my students to practice their language skills in a fun and engaging way.

Altough not many of my students aim to get a certificate I use sample exams, practice tests, and exam-specific textbooks or study guides to improve their german skills. This I can focus on specific grammar structures or vocabulary words aswell as the four general competences reading, writing, listening and talking that are commonly tested on the exam.

This is why I emphasize the importance of communication and encourage my students to practice the language for real-life situations by using techniques like role plays, discussions and other interactive activities. I also provide them with a solid understanding of the grammar and structure of the language aswell as building vocabulary base by constantly introducing new words and phrases. I also train them in reading and listening skills. For that I use authentic materials such as news articles, podcasts, or videos that help my students develop these skills.

Some of my students want to learn german for a business related enviroment. For that I ensure that my students have access to appropriate materials that focus on the language and vocabulary used in a professional setting. This might include business texts, reports, emails, and presentations. I also use specialized glossaries, word lists, or exercises that focus on business terminology to ensure that my studens get a strong understanding of the specific vocabulary used in their industry or field. Sometimes I also train with them wrtiting and speaking skills by focusing on writing clear and concise emails, reports, or presentations. aswell as role plays, debates and other activities to help my students practice their speaking skills in a professional context.
